This is the b-day present I gave myself(mid-august). Solid sides when I picked it up. (See sig for specs.) Ordered molding & went out and bought a piece of Lexan. Install looks like this...
Internal wiring is actually stuffed into split clear tubing w/red zip ties. Ribbon IDE's are folded into flat bundles & held by red zip ties also. 2 Thermaltake temp. controlled fans (1 mounted in Lexan in above pic) used to replace generics that came with rig. Second hole cut in Lexan and 2 led light fans mounted there. Now looks like this:
Here's the front of it:
And a long range of the little stand I'm making for it to set on. (Note the monitor screen) Browsing a favorite web site.
.............Binks
Where did you get that front LCD thingy? (Im a noob at mod)
Compaq Presario 5843: Celeron 500Mhz: 320 Ram: Windows 2000 Pro: Internet Connection ; Verizon ADSL (Bronze): Up to 1500 Kbps/128 Kbps: Normal Connection (Ethernet)
My LED fans are generic. The Tt grills on them came from the two fans I bought to replace generics that came in the case. The case is an AHANIX and it comes with the LCD temp gauge in the front. Pictures and review of the case at:
