Post by CSn00bi3 »

My computer won't ley me create a new partition or format my C drive when I look at the disk management program. It says I hae no free or unpartitioned space left.

Yes
I also still have 35 gigs of unused space left on that drive.

do you already have a C: and a D: partition?

in other words, does your HD already have more then one partition?

35 Gigs of formated or unformatted space? I'm guessing formated since you got a message saying you had no free unpartitioned space. If you want another partition I think you have to reduce the size of your D: partition if you can to free up space. And then create another logical drive. I have only ever used fdisk so I am not sure how you would do that with the disk manager.
I don't know the same things you don't know.

i'm guessing here...

When you made that D: drive, you might hvae made it wrong. If you made it with fdisk, you can only make ONE primary and ONE extending partitions. Even if you used all the space... too bad!

third party program might fix it, but it depends how you made those parititons up. might depend too if they're nfts and fat32.
