Home Folders?

Ok..i got windows 2000 server..and i was going through the active directory users and computers thing...created my username..and when i came across the profile tab....i saw a section on "home Folder"...i figured..whatever folder i put htere is gonna pop up as a network drive in my computer on the client computer when i login with my account..unfortunately...that doesn't happen!......can anyone shed some light on the subject?

I believe that simply refers to the default location to store user settings and documents.
