Nero Question...Please Help

Post by touser3 »

Hi all, i am trying to backup my mp3 collection to cd, and i have them all in one giant folder..is there a way in nero (or any other program if not possible in nero) to just put that whole folder in there, and have it automatically space all those files over a bunch of cd's and just have me insert a cd every time it has filed one up without me having to select exactly 700mb of files each time, remembering where i left off, and have to keep restarting? Thanks in advance!

I use nero a whole lot, and what you want to do would be sort of like "disk spanning" a zip file, when it zips and keeps telling you to add floppies after every 1.4MB is zipped up.
What i would do is go to your mp3 folder, and select as much as you can from the top of the window (just use the mouse and use an elastic band) until the status bar reads just under 700MB. Then move that chunk to a new folder. Then keep moving groups of 700MB to new folders, and burn each folder. Other than that, nero cant' do it; maybe another mastering program can???
