Try reinstalling the win98 drivers for your PCI card. Also does your card just not work or does the system not see it?

Right Click on My Computer, Device manager, adapters, see if your NIC card is listed, if not go to makers web site and download and install driver for NIC :)

Right click on my computer, go to device manager, adapters, remove 56K adapter and reboot, Windows will discover it again but maybe this will solve problem :)

The pull-down menu in the Optimizer just lists the adapters, the first one is highlighted however there is no implied meaning behind it... If you choose the appropriate network adapter and tweak its settings, that's where they are applied.

You can doublecheck your settings with the TCP Analyzer, or the "Current settings" in the Optimizer.
