Videocard Cooling (Thermaltake Blue Orb or Crystal Orb?)

Post by ze2o »

I plan to buy a videocard fan and overclock my TNT2 to its maximum potential. Which fan do you think will perform better? The Thermaltake Blue Orb or Crystal Orb?

Crystal Orb.
Copper base with nickel plating

It beats the blue orbs welded aluminum base any day.

Any tweaks you can do to a tnt2 wont improve much in todays gaming world...is it worth 9 bucks plus shipping...why don't go go out and do some yard work or something and buy like a g2 or g4mx?

I'll ditto that. Why are you gonna waste your time trying to oc a TNT? Save a few bucks and get a GF3. Check out newegg. They've got 'em cheap now and whatever you do, don't get anything that sez "MX" on it ;)

g2...50 bucks (good for todays games set on medium settings)

g3...100-200 bucks (good for todays games on maximum settings (ti200) and some of tomorrows games at maximum settings(ti500))

g4...200-300 (the leader right now...will probably handle any game out on max settings until games that support the g5's specials come out)

or grab a radeon maybe...but thats not my field

my g2mx is fine right now, playing mohaa and renegade on medium settings at ~25fps but am getting a g4 ti4400 (visiontek) along with other goodness in my newegg basket...gonna have 3 pay checks waiting for me when i get back from vacation :D
