Aight forget that then :P
Lobo Can u help me tweak my connection then....
TCP options string = 020405b401010402
MTU = 1500
MTU is fully optimized for broadband.
MSS = 1460
Maximum useful data in each packet = 1460, which equals MSS.
Default Receive Window (RWIN) = 23110
RWIN Scaling (RFC1323) = 0 bits
Unscaled Receive Window = 23110
For optimum performance, consider changing RWIN to a multiple of MSS.
Other values for RWIN that might work well with your current MTU/MSS:
513920 (MSS x 44 * scale factor of 8)
256960 (MSS x 44 * scale factor of 4)
128480 (MSS x 44 * scale factor of 2)
64240 (MSS x 44)
bandwidth * delay product:
Your RcvWindow limits you to: 924.4 kbps (115.55 KBytes/s) @ 200ms
Your RcvWindow limits you to: 369.76 kbps (46.22 KBytes/s) @ 500ms
MTU Discovery (RFC1191) = ON
Time to live left = 115 hops
TTL value is ok.
Timestamps (RFC1323) = OFF
Selective Acknowledgements (RFC2018) = ON
IP type of service field (RFC1349)= 00000000
I have rogers (cable) cap 1500/192 erm i get 900/183
erm Windows Xp

Please click in my signature where it says Test tweak here, then:
At top where it says edit click and select, Select all,
Then go back to same edit button at top, click and select copy.
Come back to Speed Guide, same thread you were on, in post reply box, with cursor blinking at begining of box go to top, edit, click, select paste, click, this will put information in box. Please X out your IP address, Thank you.

Now were doing it right, try this:
In Optimizer select connection type at top, select adapter, select custom settings, enter 1 at a time 51100 or 64240, uncheck scaling under Tcp1323Opts, apply changes and REBOOT each time you change number in Optimizer, the following numbers scaling IS checked, try besides the ones thats in now: 513920, 524176, 531440
Speed test here, test will open another browser, close one
directions on how to do speed test in help thread in signature:
The one with the dollar signs next to it, thanks. Close ALL browsers prior to test. (After download comes up)
ftp://ftp1.optonline.net/pub/test64
Tell me the KB's you get, download half the file then cancel it.
If from overseas try nearest site from here: http://www.testmyspeed.com/internationalspeedtests.htm
Turn off all running programs.
In IE, go to Tools, internet options, connection tab at top, LAN settings at bottom, nothing should be checked in this box, NOTHING, No auto detect, no proxy, no automatic configuration script, NOTHING, REBOOT
