Morpheus

Post by AzN_ChRoNiC »

Does anyone know how to get rid of the ads in Morpheus 1.9? This is not a question but more like a request. If any of you know how to get rid of those ads, please post it.

Thanx

Those peer to peer file sharing apps are all spyware. Install them, and you get tons of flakey stuff happening to your computer, on top of all those pop up ads and cookie abusing annoying things.

Uninstall program
Download and install the latest spyware scanner/removal tools, such as Ad-Aware, or Pest Patrol. Do a full scan, and remove all offenders.

Agreed.

Chronic, you may not find the suggestion of dumping Morpheus altogether very "helpful," but in the end you'll be all the better for it. Compromising system security and stability simply isn't worth getting that rare Billy Ocean: Live at Budokan MP3.

The old days when places like Audiogalaxy were just web sites with a search feature and where you'd paste a URL into CuteFTP in order to log on to someone's file server have, sadly, long disappeared. It's spyware, everywhere.

And we used to think that Comet Cursor and RealNetworks were pains!

You're telling me that it's not enough to use Ad-aware to clear the spyware and still use it?

When you download files from people you don't know, you get what you get. Sometimes you get viruses, or trojans. Adaware only removes spyware when it's used to scan your drives, it can't keep up with trojans and viruses you download.

Use common sense, and quit downloading from unknown sources.

I didn't mention I have both McAffee virus scanner and NAV 2002.
Each week I update my virus definitions, if not more.

Wow, that's got to hit your system performance quite hard. I'd stick with NAV 2002 alone. McAf's a system pig.

'Course it will work. I think you've got Morpheus mixed up with KaZaA! Plus with KaZaA I already placed the dummy replacement for cydoor!
May you please advise me on how to get rid of the banners in Morpheus 1.9, which is the version that looks like PE? Sorry if I caused you trouble, but it would be a lot easier if you would help me. I would shut up that way!
