Wuauboot ???

I get this error from time to time that WUAUBOOT.exe can't initialize and I have no idea what it does. It seems to only happen when I'm running Kazaa. I use Adaware and it doesn't find any spyware but Zone Alarm says it's trying to contact the internet. Anyone know what this thing does?

It may be the windows autoupdater.

FIND that exe file, right click it, and select properties. If it's an MS file there will be a 'version' tab that will tell you what it is.
