Windows 200 partition managers

Post by cplclegg »

Anyone know a good, FREE partition manager for Win2K? I was usuing Partition Resizer in 98 and ME but since I put 2K on it won't work because it's DOS based. I need to free up about 3 gigs to put Linux on but don't want to pay to do it.

AFAIK - a "legit" PM 7 still costs $$$$
The demo just shows you what can be done - it doesn't actually change anything. If cplclegg has the money PM 7.1 is a good investment.

The disk administrator will allow you to expand your partions in win2k and xp. you have to convert the disks to dynamic first however. It only allows you to expand. you can't shrink a partion size.
