Linksys with p2p

Post by robbeing »

I installed a Lynksys BEFSR41, and recently downloaded Kazaa lite, a (I believe) p2p program. Is there some "special" configuration that I must use to use Kazaa? I've read in forums that some folks were having difficulties with Kazaa, when they're behind a firewall. Does the router fall into this category? I know it has a NAT firewall, but I'm "brand new" to all of this! Do I have to do port forwarding? and, how do you find (or know) what ports to enter? I haven't installed this (Kazaa) yet, I would like to know about any possible difficulties before hand, as I hate installing, then uninstalling programs.

You should only have to forward ports if you share files.
