Binding two internet sources together...

Post by Sgt Pepper »

If I had two connection sources, ie cable & dsl, is there a way of binding the connection together to improve your overall connection performance?

Bind is probably not the correct word.

You can load balance with Nexland's Pro800Turbo . In other words if you are downloading and or uploading multiple files it will use both connections, therefore using the bandwidth on both services. If you only want to download one file then you would max out on whatever connection the request went out on.

Obviously a bigger benefit of load balancing would come if you had multiple users needing connection out the two WANs.

One day I hope to have two connections also! I would love to try the 2 WAN port Nexland. But for Home use it is hard to sell the requirement to WIFE! :p
