After 2 years, the Toshiiba provided from my ISP died of natural causes. It was replaced with an RCA, which works just fine. Now, the book says something about accessing the modem with a web browser, expalined and made possible on the CD that is included. That's fine, but I am on Linux, and I am NOT willing to boot windows for this silly purpose. Does anyone know the port where I can talk to the modem through the browser?
TIA
RCA (Thompson) HTTP access?

Oh, really? I thought all these things were on the VPN network, 10.something. I know my old Toshiba was, because one of the techs at AT&T gave me it's IP addy one time while on the phone with him. The book says to insert the CD and there will be a button "diagnostics" and that will launch the browser and also show the IP of the modem. I doubt that it would launch Mozilla, hehehehhe.
The model is a DCM235, according to a sticker on the side.
Thanks for your help, Ray

OK, thank you, that works, although there is really zero information there. But, it's cute, I guess. Say, does anyone know what the deal is with this:
Interesting ports on (192.168.100.1):
Port State Protocol Service
80 open tcp http
137 filtered tcp netbios-ns
138 filtered tcp netbios-dgm
139 filtered tcp netbios-ssn
Like, why would this thing be open on netbios?
Thanks, again, Ray.
