Port #'s for XP Remote desktop

Post by Sgt Pepper »

Does anyone know what port assignments XP's remote desktop uses? I want to set up the port forwarding on my linksys router to use this with one of my machines, but I don't know the ports it uses...

Can anyone help?

I believe it is TCP port 3389 because Remote Desktop is based on Terminal Services technology, which uses TCP port 3389 to allow communication between the client and the remote host.
