I need opinions

AIight i need some opinions from people.

I am going thru Earthlink DSL which use Verizon Phone ( I am in philadelphia ). My plan was 50 a month for a 1500/300 set up

My ave download spd is aroudn 130KB/s, i haven't tried uploading yet.

Now my friend who is about 5 blocks from me uses AOL DSL and he averages 500KB/s and pays the same price.

What in god's name is wrong with this picture? lol.

The 130 and 500 are kilobits? If so, then you should ask your ISP what rate the circuit is syncing at.

If they are in kilobytes, then you are getting what you should, and your friend, well, he's a little confused. No way is he getting 500 kilobytes.

but everyone i talked to said that downloading from the interent at only 130KB/sec is not good for a DSL line.

130KB is 1mbps. Thats pretty good, considering Verizons standard service is around 700kbps. I think some people are getting their bits and bytes mixed up as usual...

BTW: you spelt retarded worng in your sig. Isnt that ironic, heh
