Is your IP static or dynamic?

Im willing to believe its dynamic, and you're having it set for static.

Under network properties, are your settings set for: "Get IP, etc... automatically"?

i'm in okemos, Michigan and i'm having the same troubles. i thought it would be associated to the huge t-storm we had a couple days ago that knocked out the net for a day, but know i think that is not what is causing it - specially because i'm not the only one.

btw, att@home, p3 750 w/640MB ram, 98se & a celeron 600 w/160MB RAM, winXP. both have the same trouble.

For bump:

You're using an @Home proxy. That may be a big part of your problem.

You will need to completely remove @HOME software. Its crap and you don't need it anyway. I had to remove IE and and the make a clean install. I have 0 problems since.

actually, i haven't installed the @home software in the first place. and if i do make a new install, i'm gonna be backing stuff up for years - so many tweaks, progs & other things that i like.

anyways - no @home software for me, i hate and don't need it. all my configs are right (to my knowledge at least. tech support checked 'em yesterday) and my modem light is on all the time. its almost like i reached some limit in the amount of traffic for a certain period of time, then it "cuts off."

weed, is that like what you are experiencing?
