if they could perfrom live and show more talent than a garage punk band then i'd like them alot more, and still the guitar is basic and the drums arent that great

BTW, I use WinMX as my d/l program of choice. It's pretty cool and it seems to have alot of the obscure.

ideas? as in shtuff to d/l? if you like DRI, then i could assume you like other bands from that era/genre. how about...

Dr. Know
Corrosion of Conformity
Exploited
Black Flag
Suicidal Tendencies
D.I.
Cro-Mags
Minor Threat
MDOC
Aggression
The Descendants

there's others as well.

you may not like some of that if you dont like garage-band quality songs that sound like they will fall apart at any minute. i can still appreciate it as its part of my history.

Ooooookay, lemme seee.... :D

First of all, I recently discovered http://www.audiogalaxy.com. The interface (selecting songs via their webpage and downloading via their client, called Satellite) is a bit bothersome at first, but I've found so much unreleased stuff on there, even albums of fairly small metal bands that aren't even out yet. Worth a shot in any case. Join a group (I'm in INTERNATIONAL CEREMONY OF METAL) and post your requests, within minutes you'll either have someone sending you the songs or at least looking for them. A good place.

These are some of the bands that I listen to, my faves marked ***.

After Forever ***
Agathodaimon
Alastis - Revenge
Amorphis
Anathema *****
Apocalyptica
Armageddon ***
Ashes You Leave
autumn leaves ***

Cradle of Filth
Crematory
Dark Funeral ***
