Creative Desktop Theatre 3500 Digital Speakers or the Klipsch ProMedia 4.1 400w 5-piece speaker set.

Cheers

Wow...close call...tough one, can ya pick two better sets to compare? I think not.

Slight nod to the Klippys, I've read they hold their sound better at high volumes with better true RMS watts. Owner of Creative Digi's myself, although an older Cambridge series...but love them also. These start to give slightly at super high volumes....where I read the Klippy's hold better when cranked.

I second that, these speakers are just unbeilevable

I was really impressed with how good they sound just playing mp3's but in games, OMFG

Best Buy has the 4.1's on sale this week for 279.OO

Look at the specifications for the two speaker sets. The main thing to look for in speakers is the THD, the lower the % = the better. i have a Sound Blaster DTT 2200 speaker system and it works good. Plenty of bass and clarity. Although i don't have a DVD drive, and most games do not support 5.1 sound, so you'll have to wait awhile for a 5.1speaker system to show its full potential

In speakers for PC , i trust most the YAMAHA series .

Its hard to take a potato with the YAMAHA name on it . :D

Theyr computer speakers they have wattage like 10 or 20 or 30 watts .
But this wattage units is on RMS scale .
The 400W computer speakers is a LIE , so i do not buy from liers ..
My computer is my pride, so be careful with your comments about it !!

lie?!?

sync, correct me if I'm wrong, but if the Klipsch's are THX certified, I'm pretty sure the speakers have to be 400watts or damn close. In order to be THX certified, the speakers are put under heavy testing, in order to be THX certified, so I would not think the 400watts is a lie....Ahoyhoy

I second what Qwijibo said.

If Klipcsh speakers are THX certified, they rock.

My Altec Lansing ADA885 speaker system (four speakers one sub) is THX certified and it rocks.

Ahoyhoy, I'm not sure what the requirement is on speakers getting a THX Certification
but I know for a fact it's not min. 400w cause my Klipsch 2'1's have "only" 200watts 2x 35w + 135w

I wont argue with you on the fact that I'm sure the Klipschs will ROCK.
MY 2.1s are awesome...I can't imagine the 4.1s
