I just put some more ram in the old system. I have an 850 Athlon and I am running 256 mb. of ram now and I am also running Windows XP. Is there anything else that you would recommend that I try as far as my settings are concerned ? Thanks !

TCP options string = 020405b40103030301010402

MTU = 1500
MTU is fully optimized for broadband.

MSS = 1460
Maximum useful data in each packet = 1460, which is equal to MSS.

Default Receive Window (RWIN) = 513920
RWIN Scaling (RFC1323) = 3 bits
Unscaled Receive Window = 64240
RWIN is a multiple of MSS
Other values for RWIN that might work well with your current MTU/MSS:
256960 (MSS x 44 * scale factor of 4)
128480 (MSS x 44 * scale factor of 2)
64240 (MSS x 44)

bandwidth * delay product:
Your RcvWindow limits you to: 20556.8 kbps (2569.6 KBytes/s) @ 200ms
Your RcvWindow limits you to: 8222.72 kbps (1027.84 KBytes/s) @ 500ms

MTU Discovery (RFC1191) = ON

Time to live left = 48 hops
TTL value is ok.

Timestamps (RFC1323) = OFF

Selective Acknowledgements (RFC2018) = ON

IP type of service field (RFC1349)= 00000000

Why yes my man:

Bring up Cablenuts adjuster inside Cablenut on desktop the numbers below go in 3 places in W2k and XP, they are: DefaultReceiveWindow, TcpWindowSize, GlobalMaxTcpWindowSize, take out number that is in there and put in one of these, 1 at a time, try: 51100, 522680, 524176, or 531440

You do not have to show me but check analyzer here at SG to make sure RWIN is in, you will see number right after (RWIN) on analyzer

At bottom click save to registry, and REBOOT each time you change value in adjuster or it will not work. Click on tools at top of IE, internet options, delete files and offline files (This is safe, temp files) and click on clear history after EVERY test . Quick speed test here
Speedtest may open another browser, so check taskbar and close other, no other programs should be running, No AIM, ICQ, Virus scanner, Firewall, nothing
Once you find fast number for you, you want to save it, on file at top of adjuster click on that, save custom settings, put RWIN size in as name and click on save, now if you ever want these settins back, click on file, open custom settings file, and click on RWIN number, then click on save to registry at bottom, and REBOOT, your done. How to do real dowwnload test on help thread below in signature. :) :) :)

It wasen't before, first you said you gave me the numbers, I did a lot of rebooting to get those, I was refering to the spyware things you are pushing, even though ad aware takes it out, it is not lawfull to alter the product so, you do as you wish without my recommendation if it matters :eek: :eek:

If it is any comfort Lobo, I do not use any of those "spyware programs". I do have Adaware Plus installed and run it everyday. I did note your other numbers in another post in regards to the buffers and am trying those numbers out. Oh, by the way...522680 is being tried now and it seems to rock and roll pretty good here. I see initial peaks over 900 KBS on downloads. Not bad for a system that is capped at 2 mbps ! Downloaded 49 mb this morning in 3:29. And I am seeing test results at the test sites as high as 5000 kbps. Neat stuff.
