Here in Hawaii the bloodbanks opened early and are accepting blood donations.

I'm seriously considering donating...I've gave before...its not so bad.

I'm giving shortly, especially since I think I'm type O, which is one of the harder ones to come by.

One ODD thing though...one of the blood banks in Albany that had over 300 people WAITING to give blood just CLOSED for no apparent reason.

Damn, I can't give blood, the hospital nearest to me is not takin any more blood donors, so thats a good sign. They're goin to dispatch mobile Blood Donor vehicles to hopefully one will come to my area.

I just gave blodd about 3 weeks ago, I try to give every 8 weeks. Definitly give blood everyone, and now we have a more important reason than just for the juice and cookies!!

In a pinch you can give more often....

The problem in NYC is the # of techs to draw blood is limited.
I can give in a NJ site and the blood will go to NYC, if needed.

i would if i could, my freind. since i had malaria when i was a kid (gotta love overseas travel), i can never do so. if there was even a time to peel myself away from my desk, this would be it.
