Is this good for my cable modem???

Hi my computer specs are

OS: WIN2K
RAM: 256RAM
VID: GF2 GTS
MODEM: CABLE Rogers@home Terayon modem I live in Toronto...

this is what i got in the tweak test and it looks really bad comparing what you guys are having....4-8 times better than my speed....

Is there anyway i can tweak this thing.....I really need it for my cstrike cable server...right now its 10 player server with every1 pinging from 60-200....hoping to have 12-14 player server plz help you can even admin for my server if i can atleast
get 2 times more than this thing:

Could it be that I live in Toronto...meaning I am far from this server???

The most upload speed i can get is 42kb which is not to good from what results i see from other ppl....

Like wtf...look at this guy and his tweak test..and he is still complaining lol! if i had that than damn i could host a 20 man server for my cstrike server no problem!!!!

You butt head, thats is what is line COULD get, there is many factors that apply before you get your speed.
-Computer stats
-Distance to CO
-Line Quality/Noise
-Other digital services you have(digital cable etc)
HE COULD GET THAT, dosent mean he will, and 40kbps is about the most you will get on cable, it is geared for downstream not up. Hense @home, it was designed for morons with flat screen monitors that look at porno ok.
If you want to host a 29 player cs server and a webserver/ftp/ssh/telnet/irc look at co-location

and better save your pennies

You have default registry, no speed patch in:

Click on Help Thread & Tips below in signature and read, please leave your OS and system specs if you have not done so. Also if you have Cablenuts adjuster installed I need to know that. Take analyzer AFTER you install SG's speed patch an post results so I can see if patch is in. In my signature, Click on Test Tweak Here, Thank you and good luck.

How to post TCP/IP Test:
At top where it says edit click and select, Select all,
Then go back to same edit button at top, click and select copy.
Come back to Speedguide, same thread you were on, in post reply box, with cursor blinking at begining of box go to top, edit, click, select paste, click, this will put information in box. Please X out your IP address, Thank

I have @home and I get 116 to 124 up all the time.and I have the Terayon modem.

LoL crazy that is kbs ....mine goes 370 kbs upload...but averages 42.5 kb .....yours is 122kbs mines 370 kbs..your not gettin your moneys worth...minium for upload in my cable company is 350...but i was just hoping if i could tweak the damn thing so it can go faster...thats why read my signature hehe...

okay i have a Terayon modem like i said...but if i bought a different cable modem such as LANcity another cable modem and hook it up to my computers would it work???

my upload in KB is 42.5 when i send to some1 in my city....and my kb is 350-370ish...thats for "upload" hehe

yeah i did he said it shouldn't but i know my isp peeps their punks...they know LANcity modems in my area can be uncapped making me taking all the LANcity server bandwitdth....thats what im planning to do..lol so that means ill be paying 40 bucks a month for a bandwith of a t1.....ill prove to you what i mean if i ever get it...LOL but chances are slim no one is allow to have LANcity in my area....long story how i can be able to get it tho...

so im tryin to ask you if it could work if i bought a different modem and put it in....since you seem to be the expert

actually I just did'nt like int0x6h's comments....lol

thats the only reason I posted,because I don't game so I could care less about my up speed.

and that is what I am paying for ,they only promise 128 up . 3000 dn,not the fastest around,but it's cool for me,and the price is right too,free.
(my company pays for it here at home)
