If you use rr you may want to know this

Post by cableguyhere »

Ok guys/girls those of you who use rr service. I have found something on there little program that slows you/us down. All you have to do to get a little more speed from rr. Well basically delete there log file that downloads when you install rr. And there is another file to, but i cant think of the name of it right now. But i will update and tell you what it is so you can delete it too. When i deleted there log file my speed did encrease, but dont get me wrong its not a great deal of speed. So dont think your going to break any speed records here hehee. But every little thing helps for more speed. And oh by the way for those of you who dont get it. If there is no log file, the computer and your connections is faster. Becouse its not logging everything you do and where you go, it speeds up some.
The speed is out there.

What files are you talking about. I use TimeWarner RoadRunner. They install no kind of files on the harddrive. At least I can run a search and find none. :) To install RR where I live they just Pop in the networkcard and provision the modem. Soons the Ip comes up you are up and running. No disk are installed. ;)
