slot1 to flip chip adapter

Post by Rgon »

I have an older ABIT MoBo with Slot1 and was wondering if a slot1 to flip chip is a good alternative to buying a new MoBo? If not, what is the best Intel or AMD chip/MoBo combo available under $300.00? On board sound o.k. but no onboard video.

Covertors (slotkets) work great. God ones can allow voltage setting changes which can aid in OC'ing. If thats the only reason you would buy a new board then defintely save your money and buy a cheap p3 and convertor. Nice and easy.
