Damn!!! I think I busted my hand

Yesterday I was at my friends house and we were doing some sparring....A couple punches lead to this and that. We were using one glove each, and my hand that was bare got busted (not sure how) I think I busted my pinkie finger though. My hand is swollen pretty nice, and hurts pretty bad. Its more like an annoying pain...grrr.

If its broken and not sprained, Im going to be soooo pissed. I have a job coming up in a few weeks, and i need to be able to use the computer. I guess I'll know soon enough, I'm waiting for my docs office to open up so they can squeeze me in.

Definately....Im still debating going to the docs to have it checked out though.

Its pretty swollen...

Xrays really arn't a bad idea though. If it's broke, you may need a bone reset. If you let it go, they have to rebreak the bone to set it right. Ouch a second time.

Get x-rays!!!!! Evil broke his finger once and when we took him to the hospital emergancy they told us he had one broken finger actually he broke two and they had to rebreak the other one and reset it after we went to our regular doctor. OUCH

Ouch!

I set up an appointment with the docs tommorrow.

So far things are getting better, the problem is more on my hand between the base of my wrist to the base of my pinkie finger. I dont know if its just a bad bruise, but its swollen a lot and hurts when pressure is applied. Hopefully nothing too serious is wrong...I've never broken any bones and would like to keep that record for a very long time!

i did the same thing with my hand. i busted it pretty bad going down a hill on a bike and i hit a hole and the concrete (sp) really like my skin. it hurt so bad and i was in the middle of nowhere so i took my friends painpills. the meaning of this story is that it sucked really bad.

A good rule is if you apply pressure and the pain is sharp it feels kind of like you can feel the bones touch each other and you want to scream the word f-u-c-k!!! Then its broke.If not just run cold water on it and rub it firmly it'll hurt but swelling should be minimal the next day, and it'll be a nag for about a week. Pain is all really in the mind. Remember that when you start.

OK just an update to anyone who remembers...

I made an apointment (with much difficulty) and got to see the doctor today. I spent the whole day going back and forth and waiting....

Went to my M.D -Internal medicine who sent me down for x-rays,Went and ate lunch while I waited for the x-rays to develop, then came back to find out the doc and his crew closed up shop for a few hours. I waited around and took and took a nap in my car, and went back. Doctor said it was broken and gave me a referal to an Orothopedaic Surgeon. Went down there and hassled with the receptionists about Insurance. Turns out they goofed, and I ended up going back and forth to offices trying to clear it up. Finally saw the doctor and had him take a look at the X-rays. Turns out I fractured my hand near my pinkie finger. Its not too bad though and I dont need a cast, since a couple weeks have passed already. He just told me to keep moving my hand and work it out so that it doesnt lock up when it heals the tendons. He gave me some sample Ultrams, which are pretty strong might I add. I coulda gotten some better stuff, but the pain isn't too bad.

All in all I'm just happy things aren't too bad. No cast for me!!! haha. btw sorry for the bad punctuation, but I'm a bit buzzed from the painkillers, and I wrapped my finger in a splint so its harder to type for now.

Take minir's advice only let all them gals know that it'll heal faster if you get it kissed a few zillion times.
