best graphics card available today?

Post by velvta »

What are some great quality graphics cards out right now? I'm looking for a few different choices, i guess 3 or 4 choices, i guess starting from the most expensive...just wondering what my options are.

isnt a 3D Prophet II MX a geforce2 MX under a differant brand?

I'm very happy with my radeon64ddr, although if you arent into movies... I wonder if it'd be worth you money.

Right now I have a Geforce2 MX but, the GTS w/DDR would be nice. I'm still getting 90 fps(avg) playing UT, so I can't complain.

Read my review of 3 different GeForce2 MX-400 video cards, it will show you the difference and why they are called MX cards:

Then if you'd like read my GeForce3 review for comparison:

Geforce MX vs Gforce256

Post by OfTheFalcon »

I have an Asus 6800 Deluxe 32Meg (Geforce 256) and a Hercules 3D prophet II MX 64Meg (Geforce2mx) and I can't tell the difference. The MX use sdram and the Asus has DDR.I have read that the MX is about the same.I won't buy the MX it was given to me.I would go with Geforce 2 GTS w/ 64Megs DDR it's not as expensive as the G3 and most game won't know the Diff. :rotfl:
