I've tweaked my stuff up...quick question

Hi everyone. I'm new to the board, and was really impressed with the information here....

Anyway, I've tweaked my registry (below), but have a question. I've noticed that others have there Default Receive Window set at 39000. Should I have mine set there too? Why don't they boost theirs? Or am I screwed up? Thanks in advance (also, I play EA Sports' NHL 2000 all the time online, and everyone's told me my @home lags; I'm hopining this boost does it...I'll test it tomorrow; but any recommendations with what I should change is greatly appreciated). Thanks again. :P

from what i've been told - it depends on your system specs. depending on cpu speed - too high of an rwin can actually slow you down. post your system specs and lobo can tell what should work best. <cpu / os / ram>

System specs as stated above and do you have Cablenuts adjuster

Hi Lobo. Here's my specs...

800 Mhz, 128 Ram, Intel Pentium 3, Win98 2nd edition.

And as for cablenuts adjuster, I never heard of it (getting ready to do a search though).

Also, with these settings my browsing seemed to speed up a little my online gaming got worse.

I play EA Sports NHL 2000.

Any help would be greatly appreciated...this sucks.

To help u out remember that all online gaming uses mostly your upload cap. These tweaks are mainly for downloading though it will help your gaming experience alittle.

Hey lobo, if you're there (or anyone), I d/l the cablenut and did everything it said (d/l patches). I sped my game up more then it was on my previous settings, but it's still slow. These are my new settings...any advice?

Me again. I guess for Lobo, or anyone else (more info if you can help)...PCtuneup continiously gives me an upload transfer rate around 141 Kb/s, so I'm guessing that part's ok, but my gaming is major slow. Again, any advice greatly appreciated.

While Lobo is away for the night, I think, his info can be found in my sig, just click and go. Read it all, and then install Cablenut 4.02 from their site...it's all in Lobo's help page.

To begin with DSL Reports says: Tweaking will not fix
Packet loss
Multiplayer games over UDP
Your ping time
Regular PC freezes
Inherited hair loss
2nd if you go to help page do not load any ccs files, we want the adjuster, Your RWIN looked fine before, do this: Once you follow directions on help page:
Try these RWIN's (Default Rvc Window)
1 at a time in box on adjuster inside 4.2 on desktop. GlobalmaxTcpWindowSize-BLANK
Save to registry at bottom and reboot each time you change value in adjuster
Check analyzer here at Speedguide to be sure you have RWIN in, thank you
