Right. The only things I have running at start up are explorer and systray. Also how much ram do you have? I have 160Megs of PC 133/100(128PC133, and 32 PC100) And I have 99% free at start up. No joke I'm supprised it's that high but It works so it all good. Hope to hear back from ya. Peace:2cool:

Yea if ya don't think ya need it disable it in msconfig. Then if your pc doesn't work go it to safe mode by pressing F8 a lot at stary up and turn it back on. Works for me. Peace:2cool:

If you have a keyboard that has volume buttons on it, internet one touch and other things on it, that eats a lot of your resources, :(

My resources as low as well 256megs

Post by fastchevy »

Same here.......I have a P2 350 with just a few things running..(Win ME) and I have around 80% free at start up. I have the usual explorer and systray, and I have Mdm ,which is microsoft debugger which I'm not for sure if I need that running or not but prefer to have it. Then there is something running for me ATI card also...I just keep it running as well. Other than that there really shouldn't be a reason for me to have such low resources with 256 megs of memory.

Anyways, good luck with your problem.
