New multiplyer for Palaminos......

Post by Kagemushka »

I just flashed my bios today on my Iwill KK266-R. To my surprise there were many new memory tweaks, and fixes for the SBlive bug. But one major thing caught my attention quickly, now I have options for a multiplyer up to 14.

Yep 14. I am wondering if this is for the new 1.4 Tbird or is it for the new Athalon 4?

And for those of you who can't do math, 14x133 = 1862 :)

I'm just hoping that my board will accept the new Athalon 4.

Well, i donno. Depends, they can go 133FSB x 10.5 Multi so it'll get to 1400. But I think they'll go 14 x 100FSB. And I believe if you are not using AXIA or one of the good ones, you can't really go to 14 x 133. I can't go over 118FSB x 10 with my abit KT7 and a 1Ghz, oh well, maybe i didn't unlock it and that's why. :)

poor axia it will boot @10,5*133=1400 but ... f@h will not work proberly and system hangs after a random time; no temp prob more a Vcore(1.85v) :D

KT7 = ViaKT133 without A perhaps the chipset is too stressed got mine KT7-A @140mhz also not really stabile, try the unlock perhaps you get a 1150 or 1200 :D :D :D "big deal"
