Nice bump in speed

Post by Easto »

Spectrum has been advertising 200mb service all over the place. I called today and asked that since this seems to be the new norm, why am I still stuck at 100? I had to go and get a new modem from the Spectrum store which is just 3 miles away. Got it set up and not I'm capping out at 223mb! Same price. All it took was about an hour on the phone with 3 different reps and we finally got it done. I have to say that things do seem snappier.

Life is good this afternoon.

Well, don't leave us hanging! What's the make/model of this new modem? Mine is just a dinky Motorola running FreeBSD firmware.

It appears to be a Hiltron E31N2V1 branded by Spectrum.
