Windows 10 GWX KB Numbers

Post by Qui-Gon John »

Hi,
I know about KB3035583 (the original GWX bug). There was very recently a new update that gave you a "Last chance to get Windows 10" update. I got rid of it, but now I cannot find that KB number. I think the last few characters were something like 7060.

No luck on Google searches for it.

Can anyone tell me that so I can be on the lookout for it when I help people with their computer?

Just use Never10 or GWXControlPanel

There were 2x updates before, and I'm not sure if one of them was changed back in June, or a 3rd was added. But either way, one of those tools above does the truck.

KB’s to remove;

KB3035583
KB3068708
KB3075249
KB3022345
KB3080149
KB3133977
KB3150513

The following comes after disabling one of the above
KB3133977

Then you will need to restart and check for updates, then hide them.
You will also need to take ownership of the GWX files and rename them.

However, as SCat says, use 1 of those 2 progs for the same results.
