Website/CMS gurus

Post by triniwasp »

So I have a friend who is just getting her business off the ground and this individual wants a website to add an element of professionalism to their business. It would be a very simple site that had a landing page, About us, Contact us, a portfolio and little else.

I was thinking WordPress or something similar would fit the bill, but I'm no expert. (I posted this on a few of my G+ circles and was immediately told that WordPress wasn't worth the hassle to extend to the point of making it a CMS for a site this small). So I figured I'd try to sponge of the experts ;) . Interested in anyone's opinion on this.

Thanks in advance.

How about changing your profile title?
My mother's dead dude, she doesn't need a proctologist.

What about Drupal or Concrete5? Reviews seem good.

My Bad, yeah it's a possibility, might be Overkill. An alumni suggested this:

Just going to keep fact-finding for now.

Thanks

That was quick, although my ass is the last place in the world you'd have access to.

Speaking of access, say hi to Dan for me.

Wordpress will work just fine for a smaller site. It takes about 20 minutes start to finish to setup if you know what you are doing. See the Wordpress quick install guide.
