I was using acronis true image home 2012 to take an image of my pc monthly. It use to take about 35 mins to do but today it took 2.5 hrs with no increase in HD space. I would like to try another software, Can you guys recommend another software to try that wont take as long.

What operating system? If Windows 7....just use the native one.
Although, if A-TI has been working OK for you but today it took over 2 hours...I'd simply see if tomorrow it went back to 35 minutes and cross todays long backup off as a fluke.

For backup software, I'm a huge fan of StorageCrafts products lately..they have a Desktop edition.

Maybe you had something running at the same time as the backup? Like a virus scan?

BTW, did you create the bootable CD? I boot from the disc when I create my image (initially) then I just make sure to duplicate any additional files to my server and external HDD.

I would check your HDD's and make sure one of them is not crapping out on you. I've never had TI take longer than 20-30 minutes to make an image.
