Undecided between these two pc’s….

Post by ms_pammy »

Good Morning All!

And then there were two! - I’m undecided in-between two systems and it looks like it comes down to processors and graphics.

http://www.bestbuy.com/site/iBuyPower+- ... Id=6980995
AMD 6-Core FX-6100 Zambezi Processor with AMD Radeon HD 6670 graphics $649.00

Or

http://www.dell.com/us/p/alienware-x51/fs will be on a one day sale tomorrow $749
I5-3330 1gb Nvidia GeForce GT640

Which one would you consider to be better for gaming (Diablo 3 to start with). All opinions welcomed! ((:

Thanks!

I would go for the Dell without a seconds hesitation.

That AMD cloner....if that came into our shop for service...we'd all chuckle at it for a few minutes and whoever got stuck servicing that computer would dread it. It's a cheaper "clone" box.
The Dell is backed by a warranty that I know I'm comfortable with....it starts at just 1 year..but at least I know it's decent. The Dell has an Intel CPU, I'm not an AMD fan...constantly notice more issues with those cheaper AMD backed computers because other components tend to also be cheaper and of less quality.

I agree the Dell is better. AN Intel CPU is a much better choice right now over AMD, and the 640 Nvidia card should be better than the AMD 6670, as well as being a newer generation.

Stonecat, iBuyPower isn't really a cheap cloner. They make a variety of enthusiast and gaming rigs. My biggest beef with them is usually the obnoxious looking cases.
