Canon g12 or nikon p7000

I'm leaning towards the nikon, better zoom, and you can zoom while shooting vid, and it has an external mic jack. This camera will be primarily for taking pics/video at gigs, so i need something with good low light performance. Ant thoughts at all? I've been researching for the last few days and the nikon just seems a little better suited to my needs, but i'm still not sure yet.

Looking at the specs I think I'd say the Nikon would be better, both seem good though.
