Thanks guys. I appreciate that. The boy is set to be charged today. He fired two shots at Jeff so premeditation is a given.

He claims that Jeff threatened his mother and him. Even if we assumed that to be correct and I don't buy it for a moment he still shot Jeff in the back of the head and put another bullet into him once he was on the floor.

Sorry Roody. I can't help but wonder if this kid had the hots for mom and didn't like someone interfering with his imagined relationship with mom. Not saying this is the case for sure, but there are cases like this.

There’s a lot more to this story then we will ever know. That kid may get off on self defense if that guy was threatening people swinging a shotgun around.

I feel sorry for everyone involved.

He may get prosecuted for excessive force since he shot the guy while he was down, but then he might say he was really scared and he shot the guy while he was reaching for the shotgun.

You never know how it’s going to swing once it gets to court. This may take years to solve.

In Ohio, NOPE. Right or wrong judgement, it will be over within a year.

This kid sounds like he may have a few screws loose...shooting someone in the back of the head sounds less likely a crime of passion and more like the excuse often heard "She made me do it! she wouldn't just get in car so I hadda put the gun to her head and it just whent off" This was the excuse my dad heard assigned to the parole office before he got sick.

My heart goes out to you Roody, here's to hoping the truth truly does come out in the end

I really appreciate it Cisco. I agree with you. There is so many questions I personally have that I hope in time get answered. One thing that is just awful about this is Jeff's brother is on his honeymoon in Hong Kong right now and the family has been unable to reach him. Once they do talk about a terrible thing to happen while on your honeymoon. :(
