I'm looking at buying a new laptop to update my Celeron unit. I use it mostly for work and surfing at the cabin, so I don't need a real speed demon.
I'm looking at two different Asus models, one at best buy and the other at Office Max. There both i3 CPU's, but different models, same price.
Looking on Asus's website, my suspicion is the K52F-RGR8 at Office Max is a newer unit, although I didn't dig much deeper than looking at the standard features, they look the same.
Here's the links:

Any thought or comments would be appreciated!
I need some laptop advise please!

Links aren't working...
But....the U series tends to be their more portable series...lighter. Bamboo models are freaking sweet!
The K series are kind of their jack of all trades model..I've seen a couple, nothing exceptional.
Compare the warranty, hard drive spindle speed, wireless chipset, RAM.

You may want to check here:
http://outlet.lenovo.com/laptops.html?d ... =price&p=1
You can get some good deals and what is available is constantly changing so if you don't find what you want, check back in a few hours and it may be there...
Good quality with many coming off of leases from big companies, some scratch & dent, cosmetic flaws, cancelled orders, etc, full warranty... Read carefully and look all through the site as it has them listed by models (quality) and price...
I have dealt with Lenovo customer service and it is great. I had a pixelating screen, called support, same day they delivered to me a box complete with labels for next day shipping (no cost to me), I called for pick up when I had it boxed, they had it repaired and back to me...in 2 days... No cost to me... You can't beat that...
