Almost finished

Post by JC »

I've been effing with this garage for 3 weeks. Just put a 2 part epoxy on the garage floor. A couple spots of touch up on the paint and it will be done.

So, are you going to park cars on it or eat off of it?

Just cars and junk for now. When the kids move out, different story. I told my wife when the kids go to college I'm buying a Porsche.

Don't clue him in. Let him find out for himself.

My kids are paying their own college. I will help with additional expenses, but they can do it on their own. My wife and I are still paying for her school 10 years later.

Looks good....we did no-skid on ours (sand mixed in). How slippery is it getting out of a car after it rains and the car is dripping on the floor?

The epoxy is supposed to be slip resistant it did however come with a bag of aluminum oxide chips for added traction (which I did not use). We keep the cars outside. The SXS and 4 wheelers stay in the garage.

The floor is concrete. When I built the house I had the concrete finishers dye the concrete when it was wet. They then power floated the floor. Once that was done and dry they came back and "scored" the floor with a concrete saw and put a sealer on. I removed the old sealer (a true PITA btw) grouted the lines and then put on the epoxy.
