Paint.net has become more awesome.

This plug-in hosts Photoshop Filter plug-ins under Paint.NET.

The community continues to add great features to it, and now we can even use some PS features.

Thanks for the heads up. I actually us it as my primary photo editor among other things but I'm just not much of an editor. Maybe some of the new features will get me going.

Have you installed any of the community plugins before? They make the program exceptionally better.

You should direct link to the filters and the program. Looking at their forums, they have a mess of plugin packs. I would love to have one zipped file of plugins with no duplicates. The best that I can come up with is that some dude compiled a complete list of plugins...ugh.

I was just looking around. Downloaded a couple of them. Since it looks like a rainy weekend here I'll probably have some time to play around with it.

The TOS for the site doesn't allow repackaging them for a single download. it does need to be fixed, adn the filters have to be found on your own. Let me see what I can do to simplify it all though.

Not sure, I gave up on PSP after it went to Corel from Jasc I think. Personally I find Paint.net w/extensions to be more than enough for non professionals. And there is a lot of professional quality work down by some with it.

Another good resource is the tutorials section:

And here is a thread of some art created in paint.net:

Filetypes(These go in the program files\paint.net\filetypes folder):

OptiPNG

Icon/Animated Cursor Format

Photoshop Filters:

Create a new folder within program files\paint.net\effects for Filters

Some of these will be Zips and some will be installers.

Richard Rosenman's Filters

Mehdi's Filters - Blots, Equalizer, Eraser Genuine, Noise Sampoo, Melt

Filter Forge Freepacks

Redfield freeware(Right side "9 filters package, unclick demos in the installer)

Flaming Pear free plugins(Near the bottom of the page)

Fantastic work! Love it! ;)

The PS Filter has been updated by the author to fix a bunch of bugs with PS filters that would crash Paint.net due to the progress bar not showing up right and transparency is show in the preview now.
