Canadian actor and comedian Leslie Nielsen has died at age 84.
Nielsen died of pneumonia at about 5:30 p.m. on Sunday. The Regina native was admitted to a hospital in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., 12 days before his death.
“It’s very sad,” said Doug Nielsen, nephew of the famous funnyman. “But he died peacefully, surrounded by his friends, his family and his wife.”
He made his mark as a comedian with a breakout role in the film parody Airplane! and again with the 1980s trilogy The Naked Gun, The Naked Gun 2 1/2 and The Naked Gun 33 1/3, all of which were based on his six-episode television series Police Squad!

What everyone has already said. So sad.
People will forget what you said... and people will forget what you did... but people will never forget how you made them feel.
