A registry Key

Post by satyre »

I am using Vista 32 SP2. The IE8 used to save my username and password to websites. Recently I deleted a key in the registry to remove only ONE username from the list, but after deleting that it doesn't save or show anymore usernames and password for any sites.

I played with all the setup through the Browser history settings under Internet Option but it couldn't correct it. Also I reset the IE settings under the Advance tab but didn't help.

The deleted key is under this main key:
HK_CU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\IntelliForms

Would someone copy that subkeys under the IntelliForms and post here?

I will copy it manually and try that way to get back the autocomplete function.

Thanks.

have you gone to Internet Options > Content tab > Auto Complete Settings, and checked "User names and passwords on forms"?

My key has no sub-keys because I never ever use those auto complete functions.

Tony,

I had another entry underneath, probably that will be created only if we use that autofunction. I tried unchecking and rechecking that option in the IE option but didn't recreate it.

Also, when I select Intelliforms, on the right pane there is only one entry now, which is PSMgrated .... DWord: 1.

Do you see any other entries in the right pane for Intelliforms?

(copy+paste into Notepad, save as IntelliForms.reg)

Code: Select all

Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\IntelliForms]
"AskUser"=dword:00000000
"PSMigrated"=dword:00000001
