Some Union news.

Post by JC »

Here is a news story for ya, about the wonderful unions.
Godin, senior naval science instructor at the Naval Junior ROTC Unit at North High School in Worcester, Mass., has been teaching for the Educational Association for Worcester for 15 years without having to join the teacher's union or pay the agency fee. But last month, he says, he received a letter from school officials indicating he will be fired on June 15 if he fails to pay.

The Teachers union also fights for working conditions and such. Maybe they could work on a compromise since they don't need to pay medical for him. But if you get a job thats in a union, expect to pay dues.

A guy working a union job, refusing to pay dues is a prime example? The only reason its getting real attention is because the guy served. And while its not ideal its far from a prime example.

A much better example is the UAW ****-blocking the auto industry from getting more streamlined plants in the US that cut costs.

I agree, he's working a union job making union negotiated wages so what if he doesn't take the Health Care? Pay the 500 and quit whining.

"in Worcester, Mass."

Nothing more really needed to be said.. His real issue is living in that pathetic state... He should move and save himself the trouble....
Simply run adaware, spybot, ZoneAlarm, HijackThis, AVG, update windows daily, have a router, don't open e-mail, turn off action scripting, don't use P2P networks, don't violate EULAs, and wear a condom to get Windows secured.

People say Linux is alot of work!
