the carfax response to that VIN is "don't buy it".

5 CARFAX Reports for $44.99
That's asking a lot from a total stranger and a bit odd for a noob. I guess if you do that in a 100 forums you might get lucky?

The car owner said it has no hidden problems, no damage or stitches, was never involved in any accident.

Have the owner provide the carfax for you...most people do that now. Its a cheap expense to get the car sold.

Its probably brought in from our old carfax thread. I think it used to be done differently, like a monthly subscription with no limit on reports or something.
