Damnit Indy, how are my beach shots supposed to compare with your hot air balloons :irate:

:D

Very cool shots. I assume you tweaked the red and blue in the first one (my favorite)?

Yep, did a pseudo hdr image on that...broke down a single exposure into a three exposure shot and then recombined them to get that effect...turned out pretty nicely.

Maybe we should get together and do a hot air balloon after dark in the fog by the beach shot :D

A few more shots from last night:

The last shot I exposed for about 2 seconds, so the blurriness on the balloon in the foreground is from wind-induced shifting. Not really much I could do about that :)

It's a weekend long event. Tomorrow morning, they're launching a bunch of the balloons at sunrise from Palo Duro Canyon. My wife and I are headed down there probably around 5:30 or so in order to get a good vantage point. We went last year, but the winds were too strong and they ended up canceling the launch while we were there, so I'm hoping for better things tomorrow :)
