Ok, here is my problem. I have DSL internet service, and have acquired a notebook which I would like to run wireless. Installed a Belkin Gwireless device and configured the notebook. Works great. BUT now I want to put my old tower PC (running WIN98) on the LAN side of the router. I installed a Linksys LNE100TX adapter card and the drivers. Cabled the PC to the LAN side to the router. I have not removed the DSL modem from the PC, but it is no longer cabled to the DSL modem (which was via a USB connection).
The PC does not connect to the internet.
I have pinged the Linksys adapter, and it returns the card's address. I have replaced the cable between the PC and the router and that did not solve the problem. The 'green' lights on both the PC adapter card and the router are "on".
If I cable the new notebook to the router and disable wireless the notebook connects to the internet immediately.
Well I believe there must be a conflict between the DSL modem/drivers and the new Linksys adapter card,.
Some guidance and suggestions would e greatly appreciated,
Thanks in advance,

Added wireless router but LAN connected PC not communicating
After further investigation here is what I believe is happening. Since the WIN98 PC was attached directly to a DSL modem, it has the PPPoE software making the Internet Explorer browser think to look for the modem, and not a router. I believe I must - somehow - change the IE browser to look for a LAN.
Any suggestions?
