I have two accounts on two computers. One is XP, the other is Vista. When an email is sent from either account to the other, it is received by both accounts, both at the server and in Outlook Express and Windows mail. ??????
Any ideas? I intend to contact ISP tomorrow but hoped that this forum could help sooner.
Thanks

Same email account on both computers? Not a good idea because the accounts will not be synchronized. But you can "almost synch" them by setting each client to "leave copy of message on server". That way both clents receive all incoming messages.Watch5869 wrote:I have two accounts on two computers. One is XP, the other is Vista. Thanks for the response. These are e-mail accounts. To what e-mail settings in particular are you referring?YeOldeStonecat wrote:When you say "accounts'...are you talking about computer user accounts, or e-mail accounts at your ISP?
What are the e-mail settings of OE and WM? Hard to know why this is going on without knowing the exact setup.

When you go to account settings of each e-mail client...tools...account settings..as Tony mentioned above...each may have the POP3 settings for the same e-mail account. Which would explain why both computers receive the same e-mail.Watch5869 wrote:Thanks for the response. These are e-mail accounts. To what e-mail settings in particular are you referring?
Some people do this on purpose...I do, I have Outlook setup on 3x computers to my same e-mail account.
Is this your goal, or do you not want this?
