So, these guys in my class swear by SpywareDoctor n RegistryMechanic and a few pay 4 it n 2 of em use the cracked version. I usually stay clear of Registry apps, but if I do use 1 I use that EasyCleaner n the CCleaner 1. I tried that Glary 1 a few months back but ran into a few problems and havent tried it after that but it's prolly still pretty good.
As for that SpywareDoctor, kinda seems ify to me, when a friend says he scanned his laptop which is supposly clean and it always seems 2 find a few he says, "that only means its working" idk bout that. I just wanted to know what every1 thinks about that SpywareDoctor n RegMech. I stick with Avira Free, Comodo Firewall, n FF. Seems to work wonders for me.
Your thoughts on SpywareDoctor n RegistryMechanic

Registry cleaners usually do more harm than good. The registry is just several files that really are not that large. Cleaning out old items will NOT make the system run any faster. Best to just use REGEDIT.
No one has any right to force data on you

There's a registry cleaner comparison here that I posted a few weeks ago
http://www.macecraft.com/registry_cleaner_comparison2/
Now granted...it's done by the Macecraft software, the makers of JV tools, so naturally theirs won. But...what you can gain by it is some comments and effectiveness of other tools.
I've been a fan of Eusing, as well as the one included in CCleaner, and Glarys. I use Eusing the most.
I tend to only use them on really old machines that have been through a lot of..err...junk. If the machine is relatively in good shape, I stay away from them, as they can introduce more problems then they fix. I agree with Tony...IMO cleaning the registry and running those registry defraggers is fairly useless, the registry isn't that big where it makes a difference.

I agree with this...I use regcleaner...simple and manual way of removing things but its not going to make it run any faster.

I prefer superantispyware and malwarebytes but I run them on demand...Superantispyware likes to install then run on startup which is something I stop after I install it. I run it when I feel I need to use it or clean a slaved HDD.

nice, at least im not the only 1, these guys swear by all types of these kinda softwares, I mean they even like McAfee and Norton 360 n below they don't want to try 09
, which I think is hella better since they reworked sh*t but I willn't go back to Norton stuff anymore. Free software works just as great, just some you need to manually update urselfs which, for the cost, I can do.
I do like MalwareBytes, have it on my home pcs just incase some of the fam decided to go to some site that they shouldn't and download. Also helped clear up a few pcs at some buddies.
It's good to know there is a community like this I can come to with questions and advice in some places and if I can give some. I'll have to come by more often and chat it up a bit with everyone again
