Problem with Java Runtime Environment 1.6.0.10 update (jqsnotify.exe)

Post by d2fanatic007 »

Has anyone updated to the newest Java? If so has anyone had an issue with jqsnotify.exe using 48-50% CPU when it starts? Cause I installed Java 1.6.0.10 and they install a Java Quickstart function in services and I tried Disabling the service and yet jqsnotify.exe still started and hung around 50% CPU. It seemed to happen alot when I opened FF or Trillian.

But I uninstalled it cause I dont trust this so called new service (jqsnotify.exe) and went back to the 1.6.0.7 that was fine. They just listed a bunch of various bug fixes for the update to .10 anywho.

Nope and I'll refrain from updating until that is fixed.

Make sure you've also disabled Java jusched.exe in MSConfig. I have update 10 with both of those disabled and don't see the CPU spikes you're referencing.
