Can you people interpret my dream????

Post by Clarence »

Hello people, I have been having this strange dream…….I am stranded alone on an island and there is really no one there. The island seems to be deserted and I am looking to escape from there. I have no one to consult there and suddenly I feel as if someone is coming from a distance…and there you go…the dream ends right away.

Can you help me know what this dream means!!!

Whatever you do, open the FedEx package next time, I've been dying to know what was in there.

(taken from a dream interpretation web site... one of many with Google)

The "Island" part of the dream most likely means you feel secluded or alone in some aspect of your life. It doesn't always mean lonely, but rather alone in some part. Just as an example, one can have many friends and family and not feel lonely, but they may be going through something that those people wouldn't understand or know about and therefore feeling alone.

Someone coming to you is the possibility of having a true friend. However, waking up (you do it to yourself) indicates insecurity. You fear rejection so you keep people at a distance. Have you felt abandoned in a friendship? Do you fear it might happen again?

*what in the hell do I know anyway....*

and from another site:
Island

To see an island or dream that you are on an in your dream, signifies ease, relaxation and comfort. To dream that you are in stranded on a island, signifies that you are in a rut and do not quite know what to do with your life. On the other hand, you may be seeking some solitude. Perhaps you are running away from a situation instead of trying to confront it.

It means just that! Why is it that sometimes a person looks at a wall and wonders what it is, when it's nothing more than a wall? Sometimes (99.99% of the time) a dream is just a dream. That it replays is of no significance either. I watch the same episodes of Law & Order again and again.

Dreams don't mean anything to me either, in the same way that a persons name doesn't mean anything either. My wife buys into that stuff, especially with names and their definitions/origins.

Well…not a very weird one. Usually people get such sort of dreams and may be, being lonely indicates that you are lonely in your life. There can be certain dream interpretations according to different people. May be others can interpret this dream in any other way.

Some medications (or mixtures of) cause excessive or vibrant dreams. I've mixed a few medications together (research goals only) and fell asleep in my oat meal. I must say that I had a number of dreams that probably have no association to anything in my life. I just took the wrong (or right) mixture of stuff.

Oh... I had gas. Lots and lots of gas.

Stranded alone on a island - Maybe the feeling we all have towards the vast emptiness of space and mortality.

Looking to escape - A longing for death or maybe a desire to understand.

Someone is coming - Guess this one really would depend on how this makes you feel. Death perhaps? We are all mortal and at some point we realize that death is coming.

If you are asking people their opinion on your dreams you really should add in your emotional reaction to the dream also. However I am not to sure if I would put to much stock in any interpretation of a dream. The mind is not at it's fullest when asleep.

Next time you have this dream, step out into the water. If you wake up all wet then you will know the meaning of the dream.

It means you are at a changing point in your life. If you want to stop having this dream, drop all of your pets off at Mad Docs, all your bacon at Stonecats, any transvestites you know at Ken's, if that wont take care of the dreams nothing will.

Tell Doc to wear his Kilt next time if that's his usual dating pool, a Scottish friend once told me sheep are afraid of the sound of zippers.
