I lived a bit North of Little Rock in Heber Springs for a while, but that was about 20 years ago now. I thought it was OK, nothing fabulous to speak of. A decent job was a bitch to find though. I used to hop on my bike and disappear off into the Ozarks and ride around Greers Ferry Lake quite often. Its pretty country, but I have no idea what the social life is like, because at that time I moved I wanted away from the city life BS and pretty much kept to myself.

What sort of information is it your looking for I've spent time in and around LR off and on
I'm liveing in the hell hole commonly referred to as Arkansas and parts of the family have been since well before the War of Northern Aggression.
Brent, Jafo and Yardofstuf are all correct, we do have internet now ~when ya can get it work~, have been getting salmed by the big wind pretty bad this year, and there's sure enough a lot of bangers, tweekers and bad roads here.
But on the up side, traffic isn't that bad and by July when the temprature hits about 104 the big wind will be over for the season,, so at least ya got thet to look foward to,, lmao
Is it LR your hesitant of or just haveing to cross the Mason Dixon in general your quibbling about?
Anyway if you like message me and I'll give ya a condensed verson of DI Goliards, "How To Survive The Wildes Of The South Land" handbook.

Well yes i was a bit weary to live south, but i've been in ATL for 4 months and have 2 more left and i love it. So much to do, seems like every other weekend there is some big festival, concert or event at some park here. Too bad i am moving... I am currently working for a company that is a 2 year rotational program that rotates to another job function within the company every 6 months.
Just wondering what kind of town it is, and what do most people do for fun in the area, whats a good way to meet people? I dont knwo a soul in the area, so it should be an intersting 6 months there.
And does it really get as hot as 104?? I've lived in CT all my life, and if it gets anywhere near that hot, old people start dying... kinda scary...

No worries dued, its pretty much just like any other small city but may seem a lil parochial here an there to ya.
(most people?) depends on what your into, what ever it is you'll find a part of town that caters to it, you like poundind bibles they got a lots of chirches, you like pounding heads got a lots of roudies willing to accomadate.
Within an hours drive ya do about whatever trips your trigger except go to the casino its like 2 1/2 hrs away, you'll be here in time for the bules fest in Helena ,if ya like blues, it's oldest one in the country.
Might wana check out, http://www.arkansas.com/helpful-info/free-vacation-kit/

Or if your a hood rat just park any where on south east side an look for somebody wearing colors, lol
~again>>~(good way to meet people?) depends on what kind of people you wana meet.
Shouldn't have any trouble makeing friends here at all, unless your a malignant socialoutcast to begin with. lmao
After all I'm loveable enough arn't I?
As a general rule most all the people here are friendly.
One proviso tho, may react quickly to, an have a longgg memory for indiscretions (<but that's comeing from a biker, I'm sure it varies from crew to crew)
Theres usualy a strech of days mid summer it's atleast hi 90's low 100's many times seen 100+ days last nearly a month in a row , not that bad last few yrs, but ya should defenatly expect some 100+ days while your here
(Disclamer the following offencive statement is intended as a joke)
An for god sakes dont go around telling everyone your a yankee right off, if your accent dont bust ya out first time ya open your mouth.
