? The people of this country elected him twice! I served in the U.S. Military under Reagan, Bush, And Clinton. I would never had a thought of, I sure wish a better president would of thanked me.
BTW Do you live in the U.S.? Or are you a citizen?

Carter was not a good President in any way shape or form. The most valuable contribution from the Carter clan is an unopened can of "Billy Beer".

I agree. I am so frustrated with the level of pure hatred some poeple seem to have with Pres. Bush. I mean the man could find the cure for cancer tommorrow and someone here would bitch that he knew about it for years and should have given it out already.

The man isnt our best president... but not even close to being the worst president we have had. (btw Jimmy Carter is on the top of the list for worst. ) I didnt like Clinton, but I respected the man as the President of the USA. I would give him the due respect as our leader even though I didnt agree with any of his policies.

What the President did for this soldier was fantastic and frankly could have only been out done if he would have been able to be there in person. I applaud him for the gesture and I salute the soldier for his service to our country.

One heart touching story on a game show isn't enough to undo the colossal screw up that is G-Dub...he could hand deliver me a check in lieu of Ed McMahon and I still wouldn't give the man an ounce of respect. He fails.

Nobody at least I didn't suggest it makes up for him doing anything, even farting in public for all I care. He did a good thing as the President of the United States/Commander and Chief.

Obviously he wasn't the one that failed in this thread though..

President Carter won a Nobel Peace Prize, for ending hostilities between Israel and Egypt. That statement alone kicks yours in the dirt. Granted President Carter takes bad marks for the failed rescue attempt of Americans held by Iran. That failure was a militarys blunder, one that he took the blame for. In the years that followed, our equipment was made ready for the gulf war by the Regan administration. Had the rescue attempt succeeded, President Carter would have had a 2nd term in office and we'd have never had Ronald Regan as a president.

I'm pretty sure the beer was his brothers capital adventure, funded by a third party.
